What the buyers are saying

"My mom would make Bakeapple cheesecake for family potlucks when I was growing up. She would pick bakeapples when in season and freeze them so we could have jam all year long. It's very yummy on cheesecake but also delicious on toast."

    The Process

Each painting begins outside, directly in nature which allows me the opportunity to connect with what I'm drawing on a deeper level. Encapsulating its patterns, colours and healing energy onto the canvas.

I start every one of my paintings with blind contour drawing (drawing without looking at the paper) and intuitively add chalk pastel and acrylic paint in layers until I feel the piece is complete.

Just like nature, a plan is never made or followed. Instead, it is an intuitive dance between myself, the canvas and whatever nature has in store for us that day.

I'm often told that my artwork instantly calms a space and offers its collectors a moment to re-connect to what's important to them.

My hope is that this artwork brings you the same healing that nature has brought me as it hangs in your home

    With love and gratitude,

    Chanelle
